Welcome
From our President:
Dearest Friends,
On behalf of the Pontchartrain (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, it is my distinct honor to welcome you to our website. Since our founding in 1994, we have been passionately committed to serving, uplifting, and celebrating the New Orleans community. Over the years, our chapter has been recognized as an award-winning body of dedicated professionals and volunteers who continually strive to make a meaningful impact in our beloved city.
From our earliest days, members of the Pontchartrain Chapter have embodied the mission of The Links, Incorporated: to foster high individual character and leadership, promote educational, civic, and cultural enrichment, and improve the quality of life in our communities. As a chapter, we have launched and supported numerous initiatives—ranging from scholarship programs for underrepresented youth to health and wellness workshops for seniors—each rooted in our conviction that positive change begins at home.
Our membership comprises women who are leaders and change-makers in every sector of the New Orleans metro area—educators, attorneys, healthcare practitioners, entrepreneurs, artists, and community activists. Whether we are mentoring students in public schools or hosting voter registration drives, our members are deeply invested in this city’s spirit of resilience and cultural richness.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about the Pontchartrain Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. We invite you to stay connected, get involved, and be inspired by the difference that can be made when women of vision come together for the greater good.
Finding a way or making one,
Sheryl Kennedy Haydel, Ph.D., APR
